As my kids reach preschool age, I know it is time to put away my phone and spend more time with my daughters. Of course, some days mean running after a two-year-old and a three-year-old as they head in different directions!

That is why places like Sensory Seekers of Concord, NH, are such a lifesaver. I found this family-friendly venue through the KidFriendlyVenues app on this website.

    A Welcoming Play Space

Sensory Seekers offers a fun and inclusive indoor play gym for families. We also love supporting a local small business.

The play gym gives families with special needs a much-needed place to play. The staff also limit the number of children who can reserve each time slot. As a result, the space feels less crowded and easier to enjoy.

I find it stressful to keep track of a high-energy toddler in a crowded play area. With fewer children around, I can enjoy my coffee while my kids play. I spend less time chasing and more time relaxing!

    Designed for Different Needs

Sensory Seekers includes equipment that supports different sensory and physical needs. For example, children can use swings for movement input and weight toys for heavy work. They can also climb, slide, and explore different play structures.

The gym also has a steam roller slide that provides deep pressure. Most importantly, the space offers a kind and caring environment for children and parents.

    Fun Activities for Kids

When we visit, we first explore the space. Then, my daughters excitedly jump on the colorful swings. They move around the foam blocks and jump into the crash pads.

I also notice that my kids become more creative when they play here. The space gives them many ways to move and explore.

The swing area is one of my favorites. The large swings give parents a chance to sit with their toddlers. After climbing through the rope nets, jumping into the crash pad pit, sliding, and swinging, we take time to relax in the quiet sensory room.

    A Calm Sensory Room

The quiet room is another great feature. Sensory Seekers uses sound-reducing insulation and soft lighting to create a calm space.

The room also has quiet toys and gentle interactive lights. It helps when my youngest gets tired or starts to feel overwhelmed. She loves watching the glowing lights in the dim room.

    A Great Indoor Family Activity

Sensory Seekers gets five stars from me on the KidFriendlyVenues app! It offers a welcoming space for family fun and is especially helpful on a hot or stormy summer day.

If you are looking for an indoor play gym that welcomes children with different needs, Sensory Seekers is worth exploring.
