    I See You

I see you. I have been where you are. I know the feeling of not being able to do enough or give your children everything you ever wanted for them. Feelings of failure and exhaustion can seem to grow stronger every day.

But I have some good news—you are doing better than you think.

You Don’t Have to Be Perfect

As moms, we often believe life has to be perfect for our children. Naturally, we want them to have the very best of everything. We also want to protect them from the day-to-day struggles of life.

The truth is, life doesn’t have to be perfect.

What matters most is that our children see us doing our best. They need to know how deeply we love and care for them. Even though we aren’t perfect, we still try to give them what they need most—the unconditional love of a mother.

    What Children Really Want

As my own children enter their teenage years, I notice this more than ever.

Instead of expecting perfection, they want kindness, understanding, and guidance as they go through life. They also want quality time together and happy memories they can treasure.

Most of all, they aren’t asking for perfection or every material thing they could imagine.

They simply want a mother’s love.

    You Are Already Enough

So believe with all your heart that you do not have to be the perfect mother to be a great mother.

Instead, stop putting so much pressure on yourself to be perfect. Enjoy each moment with your children and allow yourself to simply be you.

Above all, know that you are enough. Every day you spend loving, encouraging, and caring for your children is a day you are doing something truly wonderful.

So keep going—you are doing a great job.

    Sincerely,
    A Mama Like You
