Once upon a time, virtual reality (VR) worked its way into our home. Not in a million years did I think we would become a VR family. Video games? Yes. VR? No way. It sounded futuristic and like nothing I would ever be interested in. Boy, was I wrong!

    Discovering Oculus

I was first introduced to virtual reality by one of my co-workers, who brought the Oculus to work for fellow staff members to try. What a kick!

By placing a headset over my eyes and forehead, I was transported to a different world. I truly felt as though I was there. I rode an elevator and walked off a plank. As I fell from a skyscraper, it felt like I was actually falling. It was trippy!

I am writing this for working moms who want to experience another world without leaving home. Escaping from a busy life and schedule doesn’t require leaving the house. You just need a VR headset. I highly recommend the Oculus.

    Popular VR Games

Our family has enjoyed adding different games to our collection. Each one is fun in its own way. Some are highly active and make us sweat. Others are social and interactive.

Some of the most popular VR games include Beat Saber, Arizona Sunshine, Job Simulator, Walkabout Mini Golf, and The Climb.

Beat Saber is an intense rhythm game where you slash boxes with glowing swords to the beat of the music. Arizona Sunshine takes you on an immersive zombie survival adventure. Job Simulator puts you in funny everyday situations and tasks. Walkabout Mini Golf is a social mini-golf game. The Climb places you in first-person cliff-climbing adventures. Together, these games provide an incredible level of fun and immersion.

VR Helps Reduce Anxiety and Tension

Besides these popular titles, there are many other VR experiences available. They offer a wide variety of gameplay styles and genres. Whether you’re looking for a thrilling adventure, an action-packed shooter, or a relaxing escape, there is something for everyone.

With so many choices, it can be difficult to decide which games are worth your time and money. If you’re just getting started, the titles above are excellent choices.

Virtual reality games can also be a great source of relaxation and stress relief for busy moms. By becoming immersed in the game, you can take your mind off everyday pressures. VR offers many activities that help reduce anxiety and tension. You can solve puzzles, explore virtual landscapes, or simply unwind after a busy day.

Because you’re fully immersed in the virtual world, outside distractions fade away. This makes it easier to relax and recharge.

As more people discover VR, they are realizing that it offers hours of entertainment and escape. Whether you’re playing games or exploring virtual worlds, VR provides experiences that other forms of entertainment cannot match. There are also social VR platforms, such as Rec Room, where people can connect in exciting new ways.

    Health Benefits

Virtual reality also has many potential health benefits. Studies show that VR can improve balance and coordination through interaction with virtual environments.

It can also be used in medical treatments, including therapy for phobias and pain management. By exposing patients to immersive simulations, doctors can help them overcome fears without placing them in real-life situations. As a result, VR can improve mood, reduce stress, and support physical therapy.

Museums are also adding VR to their tours. Visitors can explore realistic 3D environments and learn more about history and culture. This makes learning more interactive and engaging for students and families alike.

    For Children

Parents shouldn’t be too worried about their children using VR. Many games encourage problem-solving and critical thinking. They help keep young minds active and engaged. In many cases, VR can be more educational than spending hours watching YouTube videos or sitting in front of the television.

    Final Thoughts

Virtual reality is becoming more popular because of its immersive experiences, affordable technology, and growing library of content. People are quickly discovering that VR offers something unlike any other form of entertainment. As VR continues to grow, it’s likely to become an even bigger part of everyday life.

For busy moms and working moms, VR can provide the relaxation needed to recharge our ever-depleting batteries.
